Elsuon | The Witch-Tides

A Dark and Terrible Spell Inside the Sea

The Witch-Tides are a cursed patch of ocean in the Sea of Shalamar, a territory farther west than the Western Fortunes. According to legend, the Prince of the Tyrinthian Shore arrested and condemned three-hundred-and-ninety-six witches in a single day.

Charges ranged from sorcery, murder, theft, kidnapping, sedition, grave robbing, summoning unclean spirits, performing black miracles, possession, conspiracy, assassination, espionage, cut-wiving, human sacrifice, and more. The women were sentenced not to burn at the stake, but to drown in the sea.

In retaliation, the witches (many of whom were former fierce rivals to each other) collectively cursed the waters into which they were consigned. Their malediction transformed the waters that received their bones into a fierce, roving tempest.

Though created in the Sea of Shalamar, the Witch-Tides can be summoned by ritual, troubling any waters the caster desires. A terrifying maelstrom, the Witch-Tides are indifferent to those it attacks, destroying the guilty and the innocent alike.

Savage Errands - The Wild Run and Raider’s Moon are fantasy adventures set in the ancient city of Anzioch in the desert kingdom of Sanzakarth. The series revolves around Princesses from the House of Yale, Tristanué Yale and her cousin Orland Yale, respectively, who travel to Anzioch to aid a noble order of knights in liberating the city from a mad queen and defending it from a rapacious warlord set on capturing it. The World of Elsuon is based on decades of role-playing games with close friends. With all the main arcs finished it makes sense to translate these cherished games into media for other authors, writers, scriptwriters, film directors, gamers, artists, designers, readers, or other communities to enjoy. Videos for Substack, Twitter, Spotify, Rumble, and YouTube are extracted from voluminous game notes, gameplay, and recollections from gamers. I began publishing these adventure stories on Amazon Kindle a few years ago and will add weekly Substack serialized adventures in 2023. Lastly, I will post these adventures as audiobooks through across our many media channels. If you like these properties and would like to contribute, you may do so through Patreon, YouTube, and Substack, all of which grant you access to premium content.
